USED EYEGLASS COLLECTION

Our club recycles used eyeglasses. Please give your unused eyeglasses to any club member. We will deliver them to a location which sorts them by presciption and delivers them to needy individuals in foreign countries.

KIDSIGHT PROGRAM

We have been very involved in helping detect early childhood eyesight deficiencies through the Lion's Kidsight Program. With parental permission our club has visited numerous preschools in Jackson Township and taken photographs of  preschool children's eyes. These photos are then used to help detect early childhood vision problems in these children.

EYE SCREENING

Our club continues its work in the community by participating in the health fair at Jackson High School. On August 23 from 9 AM through 2 PM we will conduct free eye screening by providing the eye chart to test visual acuity, testing for peripheral vision and glaucoma air puff testing. On September 6 we will provide these services at the Philomatheon Society located at 2701 Tuscarawas St. in Canton.
